Cambridge Road double stabbing – one man charged

A man has been charged in connection with a double stabbing in Eastbourne.

Two men were taken to hospital following the incident in Cambridge Road about 9.26pm on Tuesday August 18th.

Officers swiftly responded to the scene, and enquiries led to the arrest of Ethan Russell, 21, of Cranfield Road, Bexhill.

He was charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in public, and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Lewes Crown Court on September 18th.

Of the victims, a 37-year-old local man remains in hospital in a stable condition; a 33-year-old local man was discharged.
